Things to know before visiting

The availability for each PIG shown online is live and totally up-to-date. If you can’t find the date you’re after, please email reservations@thepighotel.com so we can add you to our waiting list.

However, if you can be flexible, do check availability at our other PIGs as we may have a room or table available elsewhere.

We do not permit dogs inside THE PIG, although they are welcome to join you on a stroll around the grounds. Please note at THE PIG-in the wall we only permit guide dogs into the property. Please keep them out of the kitchen garden and away from our animals.

The whole family are welcome at all of THE PIGs. We have family rooms at THE PIG in the New Forest THE PIG-at Combe, and THE PIG-at Bridge Place

We can accommodate cots (free of charge) and an extra bed (at a small additional cost) in some of our rooms at all of THE PIGs, subject to availability. Please check each PIG for more details under ‘Things to know before visiting’.

We’ll never tell you what to wear. Our restaurants are informal places, so come in whatever makes you happy and comfortable.

Food service times vary at each PIG. Find timings on your chosen PIG page under ‘Things to know’ to check Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and other food service times.

THE PIGs are a great place to have a get-together. THE PIG, THE PIG-at Combe, THE PIG-near Bath, THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay and THE PIG-on the beach offer private dining rooms for every occasion. Please check your chosen PIG page for more details on availability and group size possible. 

We do not currently have private gathering rooms at THE PIG-in the wall or THE PIG-at Bridge Place but do get in touch as we can always see if something is possible.

 

We offer monetary vouchers, as well as lunch, dinner and treatment vouchers. These can be purchased here.

We have extended the validity of all Gift Vouchers that are due to expire in 2021, to now expire on 31st December 2021, so that you still have an opportunity to use them at THE PIGs.

Please kindly note that you are unable to redeem a Gift Voucher online to make a booking. Please book your room as normal and the team will refund any pre-payments with proof of your voucher. Please just contact reservations@thepighotel.com

Unless we are running a special deal and it is stated within the terms, all of our rates are on a room only basis so are inclusive of VAT only.

Breakfast is served in the restaurant where you can choose to either dig into our PIG grazing breakfast tables or pick something hot from our breakfast menus. Prices range from £13.50-£18.50.

Breakfast at THE PIG-in the wall is served in the deli bar.

You can check in from 4pm at all of our properties, however, you’re more than welcome to arrive earlier to drop off your luggage and explore the gardens. Due to current physical distancing guidelines, we are limiting capacity in the main hotels, so you might not be able to make the most of the lounges until you have checked in. The team will be on hand to help you when you arrive. 

Check out is by 11am. We ask that you leave your room by this time, but please enjoy the surroundings all day. We can’t guarantee an early check-in or late check-out, but stick around and let us know your plans and we will try our best on the day.

Accessibility varies depending on the property. Please note due to the nature of our historic properties some spaces in the hotels are not accessible, but all PIGs do have ground floor bedrooms with wheelchair access.

Please note our properties have gravel car parks and tracks. 

Please note our rates stated are at a starting from price and change throughout the year depending on the season. We sometimes run offers and Late Pig Room Rates, which you can view here for more information if available.

If travelling to us by car, we have car parking at all of our properties. If parking at THE PIG-in the wall, there is a £10 per night per car charge for hotel guests.

We offer a range of treatments in our converted Potting Sheds and Shepherd’s Huts at THE PIG, THE PIG-near Bath, THE PIG-at Combe, THE PIG-on the beachm THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay and THE PIG-at Bridge Place.

You can find out more about these and book on each property page. Anyone can book a treatment at our PIGs; you don’t have to be a hotel or table booking guest!

We currently have a 72-hour cancellation on room bookings, with a 7 day cancellation at THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay. Please email reservations@thepighotel.com if you need to amend your stay.

We are no longer accepting payments made in cash, we will only be accepting card payments at all hotels.

We no longer accept American Express payments.

We have a 72-hour cancellation policy on room bookings, with a 7 day policy at at THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay. If you cancel after this time it will result in our retaining the charge for your stay.

If you have a special occasion or are simply looking to add a few extra touches then please feel free to inform us and we will be delighted to make arrangements for you.

If you are joining us for a treatment in one of our Potting Sheds or Sheep Huts, here is everything you need to know before relaxing with us:

We want to reassure you that we have put measures in place to keep you and our teams safe so that you can confidently enjoy a relaxing treatment with us. We see this as a partnership of trust, so we ask you to please play your part in keeping everyone safe. In return we will all be doing the same for you.

Our therapists have received additional training on health and safety protocol and have been provided with additional safety equipment to wear during all appointments.

Where possible, please complete the consultation form in the comfort of your own room and bring it with you. If this is not possible please arrive a little earlier than your treatment time and feel free to complete the form with your therapist.

On arrival to your treatment your therapist will ask you to sanitise your hands. Wearing a mask during your treatment is completely optional for you. If you are having a treatment that includes the face, our therapist will be wearing a mask to protect you.

Our Potting Sheds and Sheep Huts are signposted for you, therefore, please arrive in good time ready for your treatment. If it is raining please feel free to wait on the bench/under the bus shelter outside the Potting Sheds/Sheep Huts and your therapist will come and collect you.

Should you need to cancel or amend your reservation please contact us at least 72 hours prior to your booking to avoid a charge in full for the treatment.

Your table and our team will be ready for you to sit down and dine at your chosen time. If you would like a drink in the bar prior to dining, please arrive at least 30 minutes beforehand.
